| What happens if I have leftover meals or gold plus money at the close of the quarter? |
Leftover meals from block plans will automatically roll over to the next quarter; but at the close of the academic year your meals will automatically convert to Y2 Blue Funds - also referred to as conversion funds - at the rate of $2/meal. Residents may also opt to convert leftover meals to Y2 Blue after the close of each quarter rather than allowing meals to rollover to the next quarter.
Leftover Gold Plus money will automatically roll over to the following quarter, but at the close of the academic year you will lose any plus money left on your account. So make sure to spend your Gold Plus money before the end of spring quarter! Gold Plus and Y2 Blue funds are explained below.

| What is Aggie Cash and what are the differences between Aggie Cash, Gold Plus and Y2 Blue funds? |
Gold Plus Funds– As mentioned above, Gold Plus adds extra value to, and can be purchased with, your meal plan. It is a declining balance fund and can be used the same as cash. The money is added to your registration card and can be used in any University Dining Services facility on campus. Gold Plus purchases provide added value because they are non taxable.
Y2 Blue Funds - Unused left over meals at the end of the Spring Quarter automatically convert to Y2 Blue Funds at the rate of $2/meal. Funds are added to the student registration card. The Y2 Blue fund is similar to Gold Plus, as it is also a declining balance fund and can be used as cash in any University Dining Services facility on campus. Y2 Blue purchases, as with Gold Plus, are non taxable.
Aggie Cash is also a declining balance fund similar to Gold Plus and Y2 Blue. Aggie Cash can also be added to the student registration card. The advantage of Aggie Cash over the other funds, is that Aggie Cash can be used both on campus at any University Dining Services facility and off campus in select dining restaurants in the community. Another added advantage is that all on campus Aggie Cash purchases receive an automatic 10% discount. Unlike Gold Plus and Y2 Blue, Aggie Cash is a taxable fund. |
